Spanish-4-You is a fun and practical program which will make children in 4th-8th grades conversational in Spanish in record time. They will learn a very useful language which will broaden their horizons, allow them to communicate when they travel to Spanish-speaking countries and help them get ready for High-School. It is now required to take three years of a foreign language and Spanish is the most popular. After taking two years of Spanish with us, our students will be placed in Spanish 2 when they enter 9th grade.
To make sure students learn quickly, we never speak a word of English. We use big poster-size color illustrations and props to get our message across. At first they might not understand a lot of what the teacher says but that’s normal. They just need to pay attention and repeat when they are asked to. In a few weeks they will understand a lot more, and by the end of the school year, students will be completely conversational in all the topics they have learned. They will understand questions and will be able to answer appropriately without thinking too much. Spanish won’t be a foreign language to them. It will feel natural!
Our Spanish lessons are structured to last 60 minutes. Students get a Spanish workbook which is very visual with beautiful, original color artwork and practical exercises. We do not use the workbooks in class too much because we prefer to devote class-time to developing students’ oral skills by answering teacher’s questions or by engaging in role-plays with their classmates. The workbooks are primarily for grammar reference and to do homework, which is not long or boring. Aside from homework, students are required to study the vocabulary prior to class, by making flashcards, which are found at the end of each lesson.
There are six workbooks with 5 lessons each. Each lesson takes two to four hourly sessions to finish depending on the complexity.
Class is dynamic and there is never a dull moment. Students like all the fun activities we do, like listening to music and singing catchy songs, drawing, doing puzzles, playing games and working on various fun art projects which reinforce what they are learning. That is why many of them say it is it their favorite class.
“Thanks for working so hard to bring Spanish-4-You to Roosevelt. I believe my children have been challenged and are gaining language skills by leaps and bounds.”

“I want to tell you how much all my children enjoy you. Jaclyn is amazed at how much she has learned from you this year. She says, -Mom, I have learned more at one day a week at Spanish than a whole year taking it every day like I did in 4th grade public school.- Thank you so much for all of your dedication.”

“Raves to Spanish-4-You! Getting, and keeping, a child interested in learning a foreign language is no easy task. But Laura and her talented team have pulled it off with our 10-year-old son. The classes are fun, kid friendly and teaches children to read and write Spanish… and most importantly, to retain what they’re learning. It’s a great confidence-builder. Our son loves it.”

"I highly recommend Laura and her company Spanish-4-You. My daughter took Laura's classes for a couple of years and is now able to have the confidence and knowledge to converse and write in Spanish. Moreover, as a result of Laura's classes, my daughter placed very highly in her school's Spanish Program and is able to take advanced grammar and literature classes. Laura is an enthusiastic, energetic and smart teacher that is able to draw the student into conversation. She also has the right technique to help a student like the Spanish language. Learning with her is, then, not a chore but a fun experience."
